Gamma-Scout Hand-Held Geiger Counters
The Gamma-Scout hand-held radiation detector or geiger counter is a general purpose survey meter for measuring and detecting ionizing radiation. It can detect alpha, beta, gamma and x-ray radiation. There are four models that we sell: Standard, Alert, Online and Rechargeable. The features of all the models are highlighted in the data sheet section below. You can use the Gamma-Scout to:
- Determine the source of radiation leakages
- Monitor ambient radiation anomalies
- Monitor personal cumulative dose exposure
- Detect radioactive elements in metal scrap
- Check rocks from the earth for radioactivity
- Teach or learn about radioactivity
"I love the download feature because we need complete documentation of our security inspections ..."
Ute Cornelius, Stade, Germany
"Thank you for building such a useful product ... it helps our company very much ..."
Jose Puiros, La Paz, Bolivia
"...my students are using the Gamma-Scout to learn about nuclear fission..."
Hans Schuster, Perth, Australia
"We screen all our steel scrap with the Gamma-Scout...working perfectly..."
Vikesh Kumar, Bangalore, India
"Best Buy...This showy yet shockproof unit packs a load of features in a 6-ounce package..."

|Display||Real time LCD display, 4 digit numeric with operating mode indicators. Logarithmic bar chart.|
|Calibration||Each unit is subjected to a final test supervised by the Institute of Radiation Protection, a government (German) controlled university for Applied Technology. The tested device must be in a confidence range of 5% in comparison to a master. This master is adjusted to a gauged reference Cs-137 emitter. Each unit gets a serialized test certificate.|
